Dr. Begüm Şahin graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of International Trade in 2007. He received a masters degree in marketing and studied product strategies in international markets in her postgraduate thesis. She worked in foreign marketing and business development units both in the family business and in different businesses. She became a founding team member of Çankaya University Technology Transfer Office, took part in the writing and coordination of 30+ TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB, Development Agency, European Union project proposals within the scope of university-industry cooperation.  Has been trainer in the fields of techno-entrepreneurship, startup, women entrepreneurship mentorship and also took place as jury in many pitchings. She was an international mentor in the women entrepreneurship support program of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women and the ISSE- Erasmus+ Program. She was the founding director of the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Center of Ostim Technical University, as well as the Founding President of the Department of International Trade and Finance and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Ostim Technical University. She coordinated the following projects: "Social Atelier" funded by Ankara Development Agency Financial Support Program, "OSTIMTECH FACTORY" funded by SOGEP (Ministry of Industry and Technology Social Development Support Program) and European Union Erasmus Plus "Developing Entrecomp and Digcomp Framework for Higher Education". Her book “Startups in Turkish Market” was published by Gazi Kitabevi  in two times. Besies international trade business, she is still active in the field of social entrepreneurship, women entrepreneurship and technology entrepreneurship.
